Coolearths primary responsibilities will include all processes and duties within the EDI Business scope. Their role will be to plan, design, implement, and test the EDI systems in support of core functions and business processes. Coolearth will ensure that intensive business analysis, detailed architectural design, and thorough planning are all incorporated in each of the EDI Processes to ensure the highest level of data quality. Day to day operations could include: Daily maintenance, new partner setup, certificate renewals, on-call, and more… upon needs analysis.

Coolearth will work closely with all departments necessary to ensure that the processes, programs and services are accomplished in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures and in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.

• Analyze, design, test, and implement EDI components between systems.
• Serve as an EDI subject matter expert.
• Provide training for all higher level EDI processes.
• Execute EDI test plans.
• Provide timely communication on status and issues on an agreed basis.
• Document EDI business processes and requirements.

Case Study: EDI Integration Services.

Inbound and Outbound Transactions – 3PL

Coolearth Software successfully completed an EDI project for a large processor recently consisting of a full integration with inbound and outbound transactions, including 3PL transactions, for the clients Food & Beverage inventory shipments. Coolearth completed this project using its new CTL (Coolearth Translation Layer) integration software (a huge differentiator) which powered the data transformations between various ERP, shop floor and portal system endpoints.

Specifications included EDI 810, 846, 850, 856 , 940, 943, 944, 945, and 947 transactions.

EDI 810 – Invoice transaction set.
EDI 846 – Inventory Inquiry/Advice transaction set. (used by both buyers and sellers to provide updates regarding inventory levels)
EDI 850 – Purchase Order transaction set. (used to place an order for goods or services)
EDI 856 – ASN – Advanced Ship Notice transaction set. (format and establish the data contents of the Ship Notice/Manifest)
EDI 940 – Warehouse Shipping Order transaction set. (commonly sent by sellers/suppliers to third-party logistics providers (3PLs))
EDI 943 – Warehouse Stock Transfer Shipment Advice transaction set. (document used by manufacturers and distributors in communication with third-party or remote warehouses)
EDI 944 – Warehouse Stock Transfer Receipt Advice transaction set. (used by remote warehouses or third-party logistics companies (3PLs) to confirm the receipt of a shipment)
EDI 945 – Warehouse Shipping Advice transaction set. (used to confirm the completion of a shipment)
EDI 947 – Warehouse Inventory Adjustment Advice transaction set. (used primarily by Third-Party Logistics companies (3PLs) or remote warehouses)
